Joseph Council "JC" Wallace



Mr. Joseph Council “JC” Wallace passed from his earthly home in Rocky Point, North Carolina to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was born on June 28, 1932 to the late Adron Halsa Wallace and Lela Ellen Blanton Wallace. He was also predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Brinkley.

Surviving are his wife of nearly sixty years, Phyllis May Wilson Wallace; children-Joseph G. Wallace and wife Tami of Riegelwood, Jeanine Mincey and husband Joey of Wilmington, Jonathan Wallace of Rocky Point, and Charles Wallace of Maco; brothers-Dulan Wallace and wife Mary of Rose Hill, Frank Wallace and wife Ruth of Albertson; sister-Betty Cavenaugh of Beulaville; grandchildren-Austin Wallace, Heather Ragon, Amber Robinson, and Rebecca Yopp; great grandchildren-Bentley, Gracie, Emma, Jackson, and Hannah.

Upon graduation from Chinquapin High School, he attended Wesleyan Central College in South Carolina and became an ordained minister. In this capacity, he was a pastor, an evangelist, and counselor for many people. During this time, he made many contacts and influenced the lives of a great number of people and made many life-long friends. He did lawn maintenance for more than thirty years and, upon retiring, sold firewood to support several different ministries.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Padgett Funeral Home at 10:00 am with funeral ceremony at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Wallace Family Cemetery after the service.
