Elizabeth “Betty” Hepler Harvell departed her earthly life for her eternal rest on June 2, 2018 while a resident of Brian Center Nursing Center. She was born on October 16, 1945 in Wayne County to the late Claude and Elizabeth Warren Hepler
Surviving are her son—Phillip Alexander “Pete” Williams and wife Heather of Carolina Beach, NC; sister—Carolyn Longest and husband Beaufort of Pittsburgh, PA; brother—Warren Hepler and wife Helen of Wallace, NC.
Mrs. Harvell was a wonderful and friendly lady, with a lot of common sense, who went out of her way to help others, many times anonymously. Doing nice things for others was a pleasure for her. She enjoyed shopping tremendously and was at her best when sharing time with friends at Norris Restaurant and McDonalds and in her daily encounters with others. Betty was a life-long member of the Wallace United Methodist Church and was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society. Family has asked that, rather than floral arrangements, contributions be made to the Wallace United Methodist Church in her memory.
No services are planned at the present time. One may share memories and send condolences to the family by selecting our “Guestbook” above.

Our thoughts & prayers are with all of Betty's family during this sad time. Betty was a great friend and classmate to both of us. Loved her smile because when she saw you she made you feel like you brightened her life! She was a joy to know and we have so many fond memories shared with her! Jack and Janet Cottle

One of my most favorite memories of Betty is that she and Al "got me to the church on time". I will always think fondly of Betty. She was one of the good ones.

Betty was a huge part of my children's lives as their Aunt Betty. She always referred to them as "The Twins" and was always partial to the boy of the two, Skyler Boykin. She will be greatly missed by us all but my children will forever cherish memories with their Aunt Betty.
