Mr. Futrell was a hard working man known for his dry wit and many talents such as cooking, gardening, and solving the world's problems with his family and friends at the House of Happiness. His life’s work was in installing ceramic tile and construction--skills which he learned from his daddy beginning at the age of twelve. He loved his family very much and they adored him especially his grandchildren who were a great source of happiness for him. Wayne took his grandpa duties quite seriously and his love for them was seen by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, Wayne’s family requests that memorial gifts be made to the American Cancer Society McConnell--Rabb Hope Lodge, 930 Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
