I met Betty when her daughter,Michelle, and I became fast friends in kindergarten. I spent many a night at the Nichols home over many years. Betty and my mother became best friends immediately and she became a second mother to me. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed !!! RIP Betty...may you meet up with all your loved ones in heaven. ❤️🙏

Mrs Nichols was one of a kind! A part of my childhood I will cherish forever! She was my moms best friend back in the Laurel Maryland days! Our Christmas Eve gatherings at the Nichols house, the scrambled eggs with ketchup, the life long friendships between the Merlo & Nichols girls. To Mekie, you and your dad have greeted your momma and able to watch over all of the children and grandchildren. To Mike, the writer of the family, your words tell just how her new journey is now beginning and how precious she was. To Misty, you're exactly right. She made everyone know just what love was. Now to Mary.... My Mary. You're parents gave me you! My forever friend and I will cherish that always! I love al of you and Mrs Nichols will remain in my heart forever. Xoxo

I can remember grand gatherings of our family and friends.
Momma was always there to extend an invitation or offer a plate to anyone.
It was not until my later years that I come to appreciate the blessings I had by God giving me such a wonderful Mother. She taught me so many things but the greatest of these was love. I will truly miss her.
